Upcoming Information Session Dates, Application Info and Hot Off the Press Items!

Our Career Programs Office has four evening virtual information sessions coming up in late January and in February.  Mark your calendars!  The links to the meetings were recently emailed to Gr 10/11 families and students.  If you did not get this, please check with your school's counsellor or career advisor.  Alternatively, email our Career Programs Office.  For more program information and program-specific applications (now available), view these on our "PROGRAMS TAB".

1. (ALL) Career Programs Information Session - Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 from 6:30 - 7:30pm (Zoom).

Come hear about our dual credit (and tuition free) post-secondary offerings and more!  This includes trades programs and other academic programs (ECE and Health Care Careers).   

2. NEW KPU Biomedical & Health Science Program Information Session - Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 from 6:30 - 7:30pm (Teams).

Come hear from KPU staff about this 4-course dual credit (and tuition free) post-secondary program!  KPU staff can answer your questions about this full-time program taken in semester two of Grade 12.

3. KPU Intro to Health Science (1115) Course Information Session - Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 from 6:30 - 7:30pm (Teams).

Come hear about this summer dual credit (and tuition free) KPU course!  Meet the course instructor and decide if this is a good option for you!  This course is transferrable to a number of post-secondary Health Care programs.

4. Manufacturing & Engineering Co-op Program Information Session - Thursday, February 13th, 2025 from 6:30 - 7:30pm (Zoom).

Come hear from the MEC Program instructor about this 4-course co-op program!  The instructor can answer your questions about this full-time program taken in semester two for students in either Gr 11 or 12 next year.

5. VCC Health Care Program Information Session - Wednesday, February 26th, 2025 from 6:30 - 7:30pm (Zoom).

Come hear from VCC program instructors about two dual credit (and tuition free) VCC programs available to students in Gr. 12!  These programs include Medical Lab Assistant and Health Care Assistant.  

The following are now available for you.  These are available on our slat boards in schools too!  (Most are near or inside counselling centres.)

1.  Just out ... Applications for our "Intro to Early Childhood Education" Program (Langara College) are out.  Go to "Programs" tab to find this.

2. Career Programs Brochure for 2024-2025 - View all trades and academic dual credit program offerings, plus more!  Tuition is covered for dual credit courses/programs.

3. Information Nights on Zoom plus More Info Sessions for You - Check out the many VIRTUAL information sessions for students and families.  More details are on our school slat boards near counselling and will be emailed to families as well.

4. Youth TRAIN in Trades Applications for programs to be taken in 2025-2026.  Application due dates are February 11th and April 8th, 2025 (earlier the better, as some programs are competitive).

5. TUESDAY DUE-DAYS!  Check out our list of application due dates.  Not all applications are available at this time, but mark your calendars for when they are due.  Come back here or see your school counsellor / CIA or view our slat board in your school.  You will find updates there as well as any newly-released applications.
